Autumn Leaves are Falling - David and I were out of town for a long weekend and I am amazed at the
changes in just a few days. The leaves
on the maple trees that line my walk to work were tinged in red when I left and
are now fully bright red. The elm tree leaves
are falling like snow and piling up on the sidewalk. Autumn has fully arrived. Soon, very soon, the leaves will be gone and
winter will be here.
Autumn reminds us that nothing lasts forever, that we need to stop
and enjoy the moment. So, when the sun
broke through the clouds I left a pile of work on my desk and ran out to enjoy
a beautiful autumn afternoon. I love
kicking through piles of leaves. The
fragrance of fallen leaves is heavenly. Have
you ever lain under a tree and watched the leaves drift to the ground?
Oh, what beautiful magic. Autumn is now, get out and enjoy it. Take time for yourself. Your work will be waiting for you when you return. And don’t forget to kick through the leaves. (MORE BLOGS)
