It's a Beautiful Morning

It’s a Beautiful Morning -  How do you start your day?  Silly as it sounds, this is quite an important question.  The morning start sets the tone for the day.  You get to decide.  Is it rushed, harried and stressful?  Or, is it smooth-sailing as you prepare to leave the house?  I know, dressing, packing lunches, getting the kids off to school and the dog fed all in “not quite enough time” can be difficult.  Now is your chance to start anew.  With daylight savings time upon us you have a whole extra hour in the morning.  Wouldn’t it be nice to start with an extra hour at home? 

Plan the night before to get up at the “old” 6:00 AM.  Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea and sit a moment.  Listen to your soul as it slowly awakens.  Stretch the toes, stretch the legs, stretch the torso and stretch the arms…roll the neck and revel in the magic of the start of the day. With a little early effort, you will be ready to face the family and the world with a smile on your face. 

Do this every day without fail for two weeks.  Yes, 14 days pretending the clock did not turn back.  The relaxed start to your morning will be the reward that keeps you going.  Like me, you will be surprised how easy you can slide into the habit.  Who knows, with an extra hour you may even be able to sneak out for breakfast on a work day.  Wouldn’t that be great?  (MORE BLOGS)
