The professional Advanced Floral Design certificate
course is an intensive 40 hour program designed to provide advanced training for the
experienced designer in many areas, including Wedding Design, Contemporary European and
Asian Design, Tropical Flowers and Floral Marketing.
This training will benefit the experienced designer in securing
additional wedding, party, home decorating and advanced design work. Students who complete
40 hours and pass both a written and a design examination receive our proficiency
certificate.
Pre-requisites for this program are successful completion of the
Basic Floral Design Program or 500 hours of on the job experience as a floral designer.
Daily material is presented in a cycle consisting of Lecture,
Demonstration, Practice and Critique. Lecture and demonstration make up 25% of the
program, with practice and critique making up 75%. A wide selection of fresh flowers and
foliages are used throughout the program and each student works on their own projects with
the guidance of an instructor.
Class size is limited to assure that each student receives the
individual attention that they need.
Several
guest designers and instructors will assist in demonstrating advanced design styles and
techniques.
