Floral Designing
in competition is a bit like running a marathon. Anyone who is in reasonable physical
condition can run. But, to successfully run a full marathon requires explicit training and
practice. Trying to run a marathon without preparation can be a discouraging and bitter
experience. Designing for Competition and Evaluation is your training program. It will not
cannot guarantee that you will win the race, but this program will fully
prepare you to run a good race.
AIFD accredited designers, Leanne and David Kesler will be your instructors and trainers
as your prepare to achieve your personal goals. During this intensive three-day course,
you will study contemporary and classic arrangements, wedding designs, body flowers,
sympathy flowers and design duplication. You will receive advanced instruction in floral
design theory and mechanics with a focus on designing for a judge. You skills will be
individually critiqued and accessed. A complete mock testing and evaluation is included on
the final day of the course. On completion of the course you will be given a recommended
training plan and David and Leanne will continue to work with you via email for up to one
full year and / or twelve photo evaluations of your design work.
Please note that this is an advanced program. You must have a minimum of 500 hours of
floral design experience or have successfully completed the Floral Design Institute, 120
hour Basic Floral Design Program. |
