There are excellent housing options at all budget levels for students taking classes at the Floral Design Institute in Seattle. We have selected accommodating which we know to be comfortable, safe and clean. All are within an easy commute or walk from the Institute and Downtown Seattle. With all selected accommodations you must contact and make arrangements directly with the innkeeper / management. We attempt to keep prices and other information up to date, but we cannot make any guarantees.

A 3-minute walk takes you to the school after a beautiful 10-minute boat ride and 1 hour ferry Ride across the Puget Sound. This spacious home, framed by over a 70 roses, ponds, and numerous gardens is owned by a FDI alumnus. The pricing package contains a choice of a single or double room, along with all transportation, all meals (special dietary needs can be met), laundry and internet. Rides to and from the ferry are provided and hosts cover all ferry fees.  Double shared room package $70/day including tax; single private room package is $80 incl. Tax. Transportation to & from the SeaTac is $25 each way. Hosts, Bob and Sharon Gakin, aim to provide a safe, family setting. Students are welcome to join family activities and outings. Gakins may host various sightseeing tours, upon request.  All guests must be FDI staff, students, alumni and their accompanying relatives.
