The beauty of this simple design is that it looks more complicated than it really is. Place the tulips in the glass vase. The tulips need to be placed very tightly and completely fill the vase. If you have some crooked tulips, place them in the center of the bunch. The tulips will support each other and remain straight. You may wish to strip of some of the leaves, although leaves can also add character to the design.   image 004.01.10.00 Tulips 3.jpg (29302 bytes)

Set the glass vase into the terracotta pot. The glass vase needs to be the same height as the terra cotta pot with a couple of inches of space between the walls of the glass vase and the terra cotta pot. Pack wadded newspaper around the glass vase so that the vase is held tightly in the terra cotta pot. Dress the top of the terra cotta pot with Spanish moss, and you have an elegant topiary styled tulip arrangement perfect for a dinning table.  What could be more simple?
