| But, why wait for a wedding. We now see Floral Purses at
parties, restaurants, an evening out. Why not? They are gorgeous! The purse on this page was made by using a technique called
"petaling". A paperboard box was unfolded and laid flat. Leaves,
feathers, eucalyptus buds, rose petals and hydrangea petals were glued to the box using
spray glue. The box was then refolded and wrapped with beading wire and gold bullion
wire. The handle was made by wrapping leaves, petals and feathers around an 18 gauge
florist wire then binding with beading wire and gold bullion wire. It took me an
hour to make this purse. It will only last for an evening. Just enough room
for a lipstick, a compact and some tissue, but, oh how elegant. If I want to make a
statement at a party, this is the purse that I will carry.
