Cleopatra knew the
power of surrounding yourself with roses. We need only look back and read about
Cleopatra’s greeting of Marc Antony with a carpet of rose petals eighteen inches
deep. Today’s brides with their strewn petals on the aisle have nothing on Cleopatra!
Later, she went sailing for pleasure, drenching the sails of her
ship with rose perfume so that the very winds were filled with the fragrance of roses.
Oprah is our current “Cleopatra” with rose petals in the bath tub and in the
bed. She too knows the power of the rose.
