| Jardin de Artiste was designed to reflect the influence that art has on floral design
as well as garden design. The garden was built around a path made entirely of floral
material. Along the path were floral designs created to pay tribute to different
major art styles and artists. Visitors to the garden were able to stroll through a
living and blooming gallery of art. Each floral designer participating in the garden
created their floral interpretation of a specific work of art. Viewers could enjoy
the artists work and reflect upon the floral designers interpretation of the artwork in flowers. The garden was beautiful and extremely
popular with visitors to the garden show. Jardin de
Artiste won the Northwest Flower and Garden Show Crystal Award for artistic merit. |
