Wind Swept by Leana Trompke

Leanna likes to marry two art forms in her creative work. This piece marries basketry and flowers.  Reeds and twigs form a pseudo vase.  This airy woven container holds fresh flowers, which respond to the direction of the reeds and twigs.  "Art is something that moves me; evokes emotion; can be something functional presented in a non-functional way.  The flowers in the reed vase evoke images of breezy summers and the vase, although in traditional form, is merely a transparent vessel for those memories."
