The Chloris Chrysalis

by Kathy Freeman-Hastings

"My inspiration is the emergence and bounty of spring’s new growth in my garden.  I find it reminiscent of the school of surrealism, due to the juxtaposition of intriguing textures and oddness of content.  Also the definition of art is:  the activity of creating beautiful things.  Thus, the creative process is the essence and should be considered art."
