Our new Learning Center is located at 1500 NW 18th
at Quimby in NW Portland. This location will
replace our existing Portland Learning Center. Yes,
we are finally leaving our home in the Montgomery Park Building. The move is going to be a bit melancholy. After all, we have been in that location for the
past 16 years. But, our needs have changed
over time and can only be met in a new, designed-just-for-us, ground level location.
For the last eighteen months we have been
experimenting with new Learning Center floor plans and testing new work-table designs. While this has been a difficult and expensive
process we are very pleased with the results. Our
new Learning Center will offer the very best training environment for floral design. In our new Learning Center the class size will be
limited to twelve students. Each student will
have their own custom designed work-table with all of their supplies and tools at hand. Everything is new.
It’s just like Christmas!
As I write this we are once more in the
middle of construction, (It seems that this has been the year for construction). Once again I’m juggling my role as floral
design educational director with building permits, electrical layouts, men wearing
tool-belts and faucet selection. To see our
