2007 is going to be an eclectic and exciting year for color trends.  After several years of yellow based colors, dramatic reds and strong brown emphasis, the color palette will swing to the blue based colors.  Purple will lead the path and become the new “black”.  Purple will be the neutral that mixes with everything.  Pink, (yes, still pink) will continue to be prominent.  Lavender and other paler tints in the purple family will start to replace the pink hues.

Popular colors will include grape mist, sky blue, café-crème, golden apricot, tarragon, silver peony, green sheen, hollyhock, opal gray and strawberry ice.  Great color terminology that translates to various purples, lavenders, pinks, blue based greens, and pastel accents in the neutrals of peach, butter yellow, and beige – check out our spring newsletter cover for a taste of this new palette.
