image004.11.00.21.015 Profusion-1.gif (41727 bytes) What’s hot for this summer? Unusual and casual, multicolored bouquets, opulent and extravagant, roses, colorful feathers, glazed ceramics and colored glass vases.

Colored glass (hot trend) with beaded detailing (hot trend) filled with a bounty of flowers from the garden (or someone’s garden). Lots of color, lots of variety and lots of detailing – some of the fun trends for summer. Think of a polychromatic flower explosion!
For the perfect polychromatic bouquet you need at least 5 different colors with similar intensity. Think all pastels or all shades or all pure hues of color. This grouping of pink, purple, orange, yellow, and green in a blue vase gives you 6 hot, intense colors. Next, think about the shape of the flower. There are 4 to choose from – form, line, mass and filler. Choose at least three to create the most interest. Filler is baronia, form is ornithagolum, and open roses, allium and hydrangea for mass. If you desire, you could add the fourth category, line, with a bit of willow, beargrass or larkspur.
