Introduction
to Corsages is scheduled for May 14. This is your chance to learn the art of
corsage design. Corsages are enjoying a resurgence in popularity. But, todays
popular corsages are not the ones worn by our grandmothers. In this class you will learn
the mechanics of wiring and taping flowers and the techniques of making the popular
garden look corsage.
In Season
Fragrant Lily of the
Valley symbolizes a return to happiness. How appropriate that
this special flower blooms in early spring just as we all are exhausted with the endless
gray skies and rainy days! The perky white blooms peek up through lush foliage teasing us
with the coming summer blooming season. At last, we can all return to
happiness.
Looking Ahead
Low, relaxed, feminine and fragrant, the Romantic Summer
Centerpiece scheduled for May 22 is just perfect for a summer dinner party or
wedding reception. You will combine a collection of soft pastel blossoms, delicate
foliages, and flickering votives in this European-influenced centerpiece.
In A Celebration
of May Flowers scheduled for May 24 we will review several difficult early
summer flowers and their special care and handling requirements. Then, we will guide you
as you create your own glorious arrangement of early summer flowers.
