The Bearded Iris are blooming!  There are few flowers more elegant than this tall and stately beauty.   Their uniquely-shaped blossoms can make them a challenge or an asset in floral design.  The secret?  Design in a botanical style and let them show off their beauty without contrived manipulation.

Join us for Summer Flower Basket on May 30 and make an exquisite basket arrangement brimming with Mother Nature’s best.  A luscious collection of garden blooms and elegant roses are nested together in an old fashioned romance-filled arrangement. .

An Introduction to Floral Design Basics is scheduled for May 31.  This full-day class is a great way to enjoy flowers and expand your floral design skills.

If you love flowers, have some time and some extra cash, then jump on a jet and fly over to London, England for the Chelsea Flower Show, May 22-26.  Yes, I do love to dream and no, again this year my budget will not allow me to go.  But some day...

In the meantime, I'll just have to be happy with the truly spectacular gardens that we have in the Pacific Northwest.   Right now is a great time to visit Schreiner's Iris Gardens.  This is the bloom season for the truly spectacular bearded irises.  Yes, that's where I purchased the bearded irises featured in this week's demonstration.
