There are two excellent techniques for securing a taper candle in place. The first is to use a candle anchor. Just place the candle into the holder and the holder inserts into the foam. This is great for adding a candle that you can later replace with a fresh candle.

The second technique is to carve the candle end into a point. This then inserts directly into the foam. To keep it straight, add a bit of the Oasis Floral Adhesive at the insertion point. This will permanently bond the candle to the foam. And, yes, just like magic this glue will bond to wet foam ensuring a straight and stable candle.
