used to secure floral foam into a container or to create a "grid" on a floral
vase. Waterproof tape is a grand design material. It is very strong and when
affixed to a clean dry surface holds tightly even when submerged in water.

Floral Foam Bricks
Commonly called "wet foam", floral foam is the
primary material for making modern floral designs. Floral foam is designed to absorb and
hold water in it's capillary structure. Flower stems properly inserted into floral
foam will be held in place and can draw water up into the flower stem from the floral
foam. Before designing an arrangement, floral foam should be allowed to soak in a
solution of water and floral preservative / food. Each brick is 9"x4"x3".

Wired Wood Picks
Wired Wood Picks are an essential aid to the floral designer with a multitude of
uses. I use wood picks to cluster grasses for a single insertion into floral
foam. If I am working with a very thick stem such as a Bird of Paradise and limited
foam space I will attach two wood picks to give greater stability to the insertion. Wood
picks can be used to secure a bow in an arrangement and are great for securing fruits,
vegetables, pine cones and pods in a floral design.

Floralife Fresh Floral Food
This 10-ounce tub will provide you with enough preservative/food for 30 quarts of
preservative - water solution or approximately 24 vase arrangements of fresh flowers. A
good floral preservative/food is essential for maximizing the vase life of arranged
flowers. There are three primary ingredients in floral food / preservatives which
work in harmony to extend the vase life of cut flowers. The primary ingredients
include a sugar which provides nourishment for the cut flowers, a biocide which
inhibits the growth of fungi and bacteria, and an acidifier, which lowers the pH of
