The very favorite time of the year for all of us at
Floral Design Institute has arrived. We love all of our classes, but our Christmas
classes are very special. Join us, learn new skills, meet new friends, have fun and
create a wonderful holiday arrangement for your home.
Christmas Ribbons & Bowsscheduled for November 27, is
the perfect first class of the season. Learn all about ribbon types and styles, how to
create various bows and be ready to “tie up” a perfect holiday decoration or
package.
So just what are the
trends and colors for the 2007 holiday season? Join us for Christmas Colors,
Trends & Design on November 28 and get a hands-on review of the hot, hip and now.
The arrangement that you create in this class will showcase the trends –
colors, materials, and styles. You’ll work with a geometric design dish, candles,
white branches, evergreen foliages, and flowers in the trendy pinks and purples. Not for
the faint of heart, this class will take you to the exciting forefront of the winter
trends in design.
We scheduled our Christmas Wreath class
early in the season to help you get a jump start on your holiday decorating. Join us
on November 29 and create a holiday wreath customized just for you. Beginning with a
pre-made base of fragrant evergreen and the assistance of our instructors you will add
foliages, branches, Christmas balls, ribbons and fresh flowers to make the perfect wreath
for your front door. Now, if only finding the perfect Christmas tree was so easy!

In Season
The big feasting day is over and all that is left are the wonderful leftovers –
mmmmmmm…….. I love leftover Thanksgiving dinner! You can never have too much
turkey and stuffing. Mmmmmmmmm….. In between the snacking, don’t forget it is
time to get ready for Christmas.
First things first! Fill the house with Fragrant
Evergreens. These long-lasting and fragrant branches will instantly add
winter ambiance to your home.
Looking Ahead
It's time for one of our favorite classes of the year. Plan to
join us for Christmas Throughout
the Houseon December 1 and fill your house with
flowers.Fun, and festive, this class is a
great way to get together with “the girls” or a family member for a creative
social day before the chaos ensues. Let us gather your materials, prepare the supplies and
clean up after you are done. You just come for fun and creativity with fellow flower
lovers. Register early so you don’t miss out on this popular class.
Tired of the same old
red and green? Looking for something to get you out of the rut of same-old, same-old? Yes,
we all fall into the Christmas trappings of past. Sometimes, you just a need a little
nudge to try something different in your decorating style. Christmas Design
Nouveauscheduled for December 5 is the class for you. We will create a
festive contemporary holiday design set in a shiny wire armature in a sage green glass
cube. Shiny glass balls and bright wire finish this beautiful design.
If you love the
romantic traditions of Christmas past, you will love our class Christmas
Traditions scheduled for December 6. We’ve gathered the
favorites and put them together in one arrangement perfect for the traditionalist.
We’ll pull out the old Christmas music, prepare the cider, and have everything ready.
Your assignment is to find the perfect Christmas sweater to wear to class. Extra credit if
you have red shoes to match!
