| Finally! I thought this day would never come. The Flower of the
Month DVD, May and Peonies, is ready to ship. Our subscription members have theirs and
report that it is their favorite to date. Thank goodness they were patient! Getting this DVD ready was quite an experience, to say the least. As you may know, spring has been quite late this year. Thus, finding peonies was a bit of an issue. We called everyone – please, please, please - begging and pleading for “just enough”. Grower friend, Kenyon, searched his peony fields just for me…and came back with a total of 5 blooms. Hmmmm….this is getting a bit scary. Ok, delay the filming a week and pray. It worked. The sun finally shined enough to begin the peony bloom. A huge thanks to Kenyon for the fabulous peonies Coral Charm and Ruby Charm. And with the amazing availability of flowers direct from the Dutch auction, we were able to get our hands on more varieties - Shirley Temple, Duchesse de Nemours, Dr. Alexander Fleming, Alertie, Felix Crousse and Sarah Bernhardt.
