| Weddings, events, parties, and fun! Yes, the summertime
entertaining event season has begun. For years I made my living providing flowers
for special occasions. During the season, June through September, I often would be
dashing between 3 different events over the weekend. My record – 5 weddings in
one weekend. Wow! That took a lot of organization to pull off. Today I chat
with florists that successfully deliver 7, 8 or even 10 events in a week. That
sounds a bit overwhelming. To be honest, I prefer the one event a week schedule or,
maybe two events a month. That fits with my current vision of life balance.
But, when I was younger… Florists everywhere are gearing up for the season. At Floral Design Institute, our summer is filled with classes focused on career preparation, wedding professionalism and special event design inspiration.
