Floral Wire has a multitude of uses
with different gauges used for different purposes. The higher the gauge, the smaller
in diameter and more delicate the wire. A low-gauge wire like a 16 or 18 gauge wire
is used for supporting flower stems, binding florist netting around floral foam and
securing floral foam into a container. 21- and 22- gauge wires are a good all
purpose wire used for securing bows. 26-gauge wire is used primarily in corsage an
boutonniere making.
