Wired Wood Picks
Wired
Wood Picks are an essential aid to the floral designer with a multitude of uses. I
use wood picks to cluster grasses for a single insertion into floral foam. If I am
working with a very thick stem such as a Bird of Paradise and limited foam space I will
attach two wood picks to give greater stability to the insertion. Wood picks can be used
to secure a bow in an arrangement and are great for securing fruits, vegetables, pine
cones and pods in a floral design.

High
Temp Glue Gun
The high temp glue gun is an indispensable tool for the floral designer. For years
we searched the "best" glue gun available. We tested dozens of guns always
believing that the that more expensive models would be the "best". Guess
what? This inexpensive gun is just as good as any on the market. And, when it
gets gunky with glue residue and bits of floral material, just throw it away and
get a new one.

supermarket. Finding high-quality glue sticks is another matter. These glue
sticks will fit any standard hi-temp glue gun. A tip for working with hot
glue. Touching the hot glue and burning yourself is inevitable. A tip for working
with hot glue: keep a bowl of ice water near your work area when working with the glue
gun. Then, whenever you burn yourself, immediately plunge the burn into the ice water and
keep it there for a few minutes. This will lessen the hurt, stop the burning, reduce
the damage to the skin, and promote more rapid healing.
