Prom Trends 2023

It's "trend season" and weddings are SUCH a big part of our industry. We've done some of the legwork for you, researching what's trending in the United States and around the world to bring you our predictions for the 2023 wedding season. Floral Jewelry Trends

Floral Jewelry is one of the hottest trends in the floral world. Much more than a corsage or boutonniere; floral jewelry is jewelry with floral blossoms replacing the jewels. Leanne demonstrates the techniques for creating a bracelet, hairpiece, ring and an elegant necklace.

A beautiful Valentine’s Day holiday floral design uses a hot pink heart topped with miniature cymbidium orchids and wrapped in lily grass, all set on a bed of pink sea glass.

Valentines Day Trends

The key trends for Valentine’s Day 2014 are detailing, personalization and bling. Leanne demonstrates several unique designs and several new techniques and products as she discusses trends for Valentine’s Day.

A bright and beautiful floral design mixes several multi-colored large and small Gerbera daisies in orange, pink, yellow and dark red for a lovely effect.

Color Trends

The Pantone color of the year is Radiant Orchid, a lovely hue in the violet spectrum. A blend of red and blue, this creative, inspiring color leads the colors trends for 2014. Rounding out the trending colors this year are hues of blue, grays, nudes, blushed pastels, and of course, the ubiquitous festive brights.

Halloween designs become stylish and elevated when pumpkins are color enhanced, using either silver and gold metallic or black and white paint, then adding some unique trims.

Halloween Trends

The traditional fire colors of autumn plus pumpkins and gourds will always be with us. But, two new trends are emerging for Halloween. The first is the use of gold and silver metallics, oh so elegant. The second is the contracting colors of black and white. There are lots of new design ideas and techniques in this video.

A beautiful floral halo is created by stringing delicate stephanotis blossoms onto silver aluminum wire for a lovely effect.

Beaded Halo

On of the hottest trends in weddings is the floral halo and floral crown. The floral halo is generally simpler a less voluminous than the floral crown. Often the floral halo is constructed with many blossoms of the same species. In this video clip Leanne demonstrates the use of the stephanotis blossom in creating several styles of beaded halos.

Prom flowers can be worn in the hair, as a necklace, ring, or belt, on the ankle, or on the arm like this lovely wrist corsage with a pink rose placed on a delicate bracelet and tied with sheer ribbon streamers.

Prom flowers are fresh, exciting and creative. It is so refreshing to see young people rejecting the old traditional corsage that floral designers have come to dread. “Anything Goes” is that mantra for today’s flowers, as long as the designs are creative, new and hot. No longer are flowers worn exclusively as a traditional corsage. Flowers can be worn in the hair, as a necklace, a ring, a belt or on the ankle.

Christmas Trends

There are a number of exciting trends in this holiday season. We have focused on what we see as the three most dominate trends; Snow, Natural and Traditional Red. Snow is white, white flowers and feathers accented with icy crystals and sparkle. Natural reflects our respect for the environment and desire to surround ourselves with natural materials. Finally, Traditional Red, but with a twist; natural handcrafted materials predominate.
