The Power of Color


The focus of this Flower School How-To video is on color theory. Designing with a Kenzan


The Kenzan is a floral mechanic used to hold cut flowers in place in a floral arrangement. Literally translated, Kenzan means “sword mountain”. It consists of a heavy lead plate fixed with erect brass needles. First used around 1890 with the introduction of the Moribana style of Ikebana design it remains a very popular mechanic among floral designers. Tropical Flower Arrangement


You will love this exploration of tropical flowers as Leanne creates a lavish arrangement with flowers from Green Point Nurseries. A ceramic container filled with floral foam and reinforced with chicken wire and waterproof tape to accommodate the heavier stems is the base for a beautiful collection of heliconia, oncidium orchids, anthurium, fern curls, beehive ginger, monstera leaves, fishtail fern, bamboo, Ti leaves and rafus palm. Blush and Classic Blue


In this Flower School How-To Video leanne worked with a surprise package of flowers. Her starting point was a focus on the Pantone Color of the Year, Classic Blue. She then filled the arrangement with a a variety of Blush flowers all from Florabundance.com.
