On Sunday April 28th as part of the 50th Anniversary for Floral Design Institute we are hosting a Spring Design Symposium. What is a design symposium? A small meeting in which several presenters demonstrate and discuss design before an audience, a conference between students and instructors for the purpose of learning, idea exchange, discussion and conversation.
We are so excited! Floral Design Institute has one of the finest (if not the finest) faculty of experienced, certified and accredited floral design instructors. In one full day all six FDI Instructors will be demonstrating and discussing their favorite design styles, flowers and design techniques. So what will each instructor be presenting? We donít know. But, we do know that they are all busy sketching and practicing magnificent one-of-a-kind floral designs as well as stage presentations designed to dazzle the audience.
The presenting instructors will be Michelle Headrick AIFD, FDI - Jeri Barr FDI - Michelle Dummer AIFD, FDI - Anna Bowman FDI - Marisa Perring AIFD, FDI - and Carolyn Soumokil FDI. David Kesler AIFD, PFCI, FDI and Leanne Kesler AIFD, PFCI, FDI will be the moderators of the Symposium. This is going to be a full day, jam-packed with fabulous floral design, discussion and networking.
The Symposium will be held at the Floral Design Institute Creative Center, 1138 NW 17th Ave., Portland, Oregon 97209. Lunch will be provided.
