This workshop begins with a look at classic techniques. We will review “wiring and taping” and explore the uses of these techniques in simple wired corsages and advanced designs like an over-the-shoulder corsage. Some of these techniques are challenging, but the results are dramatic.
In each lesson there are detailed, how-to videos, written instructions, shopping lists and online quizzes designed to help with comprehension. This is a hands-on workshop. You will learn the latest on-trend flowers to wear for weddings. We will demonstrate opulent floral crowns, floral circlets, the addition of veils to a floral headpiece and lastly, we'll create floral fascinators, from simple to dramatic and you will learn all of the mechanics so that you can do this and be confident that you're doing it well.
You are encouraged to create all designs demonstrated and are required to photograph and submit three for formal critique. Yes, this workshop is fully teacher supported. The Floral Design Institute Tulip Team is available to answer your questions and mentor you through this workshop. You will be amazed at what you learn, and the beautiful floral designs you create.
