A New Adventure
We are excited to announce the opening of our new studio and headquarters at 1022 NW Marshall Street, Suite 390, Portland, Oregon.
Our 56-year journey providing licensed floral design education to thousands of students from around the world has included many chapters. What began as a small, simple classroom has grown to encompass multiple school locations, a retail flower shop, an espresso and coffee shop, floral supply sales, consulting services, and online floral design training.
Our new headquarters represents a significant investment in the future of floral education. Designed specifically for digital learning and media production, the facility features state-of-the-art video, photography, and internet technology that will support the development of new educational programs and enhance the learning experience for students worldwide.

This new chapter has brought both challenges and rewards for the Floral Design Institute team. Moving from a 7,000-square-foot facility to a 1,000-square-foot studio required us to part with many items collected over more than five decades. Student records dating back 56 years, class photographs, individual portraits, vases, and design props all held memories of the people and experiences that shaped our school.
Thankfully, many of these treasures have found new homes. Our instructors, graduates, and local floral designers have rescued favorite vases and keepsakes, ensuring they remain part of the floral community we cherish. While the process has been bittersweet, it has also been heartwarming to see so many pieces of our history continue their journey with people who appreciate their significance. Along the way, we have rediscovered photographs, letters, awards, and gifts that remind us of the remarkable people who have been part of Floral Design Institute's story. These memories will be treasured forever.

At Floral Design Institute, our greatest accomplishment has always been the success of our students. As we begin this new chapter, our mission remains unchanged: helping people to "Do Something You Love."
