Description: Hundreds of tiny yellow flowers on multi-branching stems.

Color: Yellow

Botanical facts: Solidaster is an intergeneric hybrid. The name is taken from the names of its parents, Aster and Solidago.

Design notes: Solidaster is an excellent filler flower.

Purchasing hints: Purchase when half of the flowers are open and the buds are showing color.

Conditioning: Remove all foliage that will be below the water line. Cut stem ends with a sharp knife. Hydrate in a solution of water and commercial floral food for two hours before storage or usage.

Additional notes: Solidaster is a heavy drinker and is susceptible to bacterial clogging of its vascular system. Use clean storage buckets and vases, and change water / floral food solution frequently.
