Michelle Headrick
AIFD PFCI FDI Lead Floral Instructor
Michelle brings a background in marketing, sales and graphic design to the world of flowers. After working many years in the corporate world, she followed her entrepreneurial spirit and focused full-time on operating her own wedding & event business, Image Floral & Event Design, which she started in 1994. Her floral design work has been featured in advertising campaigns, local newspapers and magazines, as well as Florists’ Review Magazine, a national trade publication.
Joining the Floral Design Institute team in 2015, Michelle is an instructor in the Basic Floral Design, Advanced Floral Design and Advanced Wedding Specialist certification programs, both in the classroom and through FDI’s Online Programs. She also teaches Advanced Seminars and Special Interest Classes.
“Never in a million years did I see myself in the classroom — behind the teacher’s desk — but I love it!" says Michelle. "I love to learn, and helping others learn about flowers & floral design is fantastic.”
When not teaching or “playing with flowers,” she can be found traveling with her husband, watching the Oregon State Beavers play football, or puttering around on their 5-acre “farmette” in Vancouver, WA.
