Florist Netting

Florist Netting (also known as floral netting, chicken wire, or wire mesh) is a versatile, eco-friendly mechanic used in floral design to provide structure and support—especially in foam-free arrangements.

Florist netting is typically shaped into a loose ball or dome and placed inside a container. Once secured (usually with clear floral tape across the top), it creates a grid-like framework that holds flower stems in place. This structure helps flowers stay at the desired angle and height, allowing for better control over line, balance, and space.

At Floral Design Institute we teach students how to use all design tools and supplies in the Basic Floral Design course.
