Florist Wire has a multitude of uses with different gauges used for different purposes. The higher the gauge, the smaller in diameter and more delicate the wire.
A low gauge wire like a 16 or 18 gauge wire is used for supporting flower stems, binding florist netting around floral foam and securing floral foam into a container. 21 and 22 gauge wires are a good all purpose wire used for securing bows. 24 and 26 gauge wire is used primarily in corsage and boutonniere making.
